About the HP-Files

Getting Into Character...
Maddy first closes the door to her room. Puts on music that she's listened to so many times it won't distract her, but will drown out all outside noises. She piles her collection of HP books beside the keyboard. Then, she puts on a pair of old, bent, purple sunglasses that she had before they were trendy, as this will lessen eye-strain. She then wraps an over-sized red "Habitant" scarf around her neck and flips it over her shoulder: "What? it's cold outside!" She opens all programs, windows and files needed for reference and writing. With a large glass of milk beside her, a glance at the street below and the weather outside, she begins to write as Hermione Granger takes over.

Camille, who is always found sitting at her oak-wood desk, reluctantly closes the window of her beloved fan fiction. She has more important issues at hand to take care of. Rubbing her hands conspiratorially, while looking around the small room - the Comet 260 in one corner, the hp-shrine in the other. She closes her eyes taking in the smell of Eucalyptus Spearmint that she had spritzed beforehand. Upon opening eyes, the Chameleon beanie baby named, "Rainbow" is staring back at her with its beady eyes. She instantly grabs hold of her desk companion, slowly placing it on top of her head as if supporting Gryffindor in her own way. The chants of, "I am Luna...I am Luna..." vibrate through the room, and all other noise is merely the typing of one Luna Lovegood.

About Me: I've been a Harry Potter addict since 2001 and can't stop! I am Canadian, I don't like hot drinks, I think that everyone should have a blog, and I wear running shoes in every season. At the moment I'm pursuing a degree in environmental science and English. I like animals, music, drama, water, laughter, and "weather-permitting" jobs.
Favourite Quotes: "We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered." - Tom Stoppard; "There must be more to life than having everything."

About Me: Avid fan of Harry Potter, especially the fan fiction and the ship of Ginny/Harry, so most nights I'm found beta'ing others' works. I enjoy writing poems and stories, laying down on concrete in the rain, driving super-fast, and looking into other people's cars while driving to see them dancing to the music they've got playing. I'm currently working towards a civil engineering and math degree, but mostly I just want to run away and live in Ireland, actually, anywhere really.
Favourite Quotes: "We pass the time of day to forget how time passes." - Hipolito in Amélie; "Can you keep a secret? I'm trying to organize a prison break. We have to first get out of this bar, then the hotel, then the city, and then the country. Are you in or you out?" - Bob in Lost in Translation.
