Story: They ended up falling asleep together. When Harry woke up, Ginny was curled up in his arms on top of him. He simply smiled to himself. He kissed Ginny on the forehead and blinked a few times. He then was disturbed by a girl with emerald green eyes shaking her head in disagreement.
"You're only 16; you shouldn't already be falling asleep with girls."
Harry rubbed his eyes and stared in disbelief.
"Good morning to you too," The girl continued. She was sitting in the chair directly across from Harry and Ginny, holding a book on her crossed legs and she barely so much as glanced up to speak to Harry.
He sat up a bit, but sure not to wake up Ginny. He looked fiercely at the stranger. Something clicked in his head. He then shot up and knocked Ginny slightly to the side.
"Mum?"
The stranger shot a confused look back at Harry. He squinted to get a better look. Then something rang in his head. He got up and ran out of the common room. He raced down the corridors. He got to the gargoyle statue and spat out a random word which happened to be the right one.
He darted furiously up the staircase; he didn't even knock on the door and barged in. There sat Dumbledore.
"YOU DIDN'T EVEN CONFIRM ANYTHING WITH ME! HOW COULD YOU PUSH ME THROUGH TIME WITHOUT MY CONSENT?!"
Dumbledore had his hands folded and casually looked up from his desk.
"Good morning, Harry."
Harry was fuming. How could he do such a stupid thing and be calm about it?
Harry started pacing with his fists clenched tightly.
"I don't even know what I'm supposed to do, what do I do?!" He slammed himself down and threw his hands to his head.
"Think, Harry, think," was all that Dumbledore said.
Harry shot him a nasty look and stormed out. He was hanging his head low as he headed back to the common room.
When he reached his destination, he realized that he didn't know the password. He slammed his fists against the wall. He swore loudly.
"Sleeps with girls and swears, boy, you're a charmer."
Harry swung around to see Lily standing right behind him. Even though it wasn't as though she was his mother there, he still felt wrong swearing in front of her.
"Sorry," he mumbled. "Could you tell me the password?"
"Pakerbot," she said without any question. "Your friend in there is nice."
She then turned and carried her books off down the corridor.
He entered the common room. It was empty except for Ginny and a boy who looked about thirteen.
He went and sat with Ginny on the chair. He apologized for his rash actions and explained all about their situation.
"So it looks like we're stuck here until further notice." Harry glanced at the boy coming down the stairs and had to do a double take, for he was staring at an almost exact replica of himself.
His hair was messed up and he looked groggy, he scratched his chest and gave a big yawn. He lazily took a seat right across from Harry and picked up the latest Quidditch Magazine and buried himself in it.
Harry turned to Ginny; she was staring at the new comer with wide eyes.
"Wow,"
Thinking that she was talking about how alike he and Harry looked, he agreed with "I know,"
"He's hot," she said in a dreamy voice.
"I know- WHAT?" Harry turned to her now, in turn, wide eyed.
"Did I just say that out loud? I'm sorry Harry; you know you're the only
one for me!" She tried to correct her mistake.
"No, no, Ginny, That's my dad,"
Ginny's mouth dropped as she turned back to the stranger. "James?" she called out.
"Yeah?" He said, looking up from his book.
"Oh my goodness," Ginny said, going completely red. James looked up into the eyes of Ginny.
"Hello," he said with a smile spreading across his face. "You're in Gryffindor?" He was now approaching her and came to stand right in front of her, taking no notice of Harry.
She blushed and replied with a shaky “Yes.” Harry folded his arms and rolled his eyes. He then shifted his weight onto one leg and listened to the rest of the conversation between his father and girlfriend.
"How old are you?" James asked quite curiously.
"Fifteen," she replied.
After about extreme amounts of time, of useless conversation Harry finally stole Ginny away.
"You do realize he's my dad don't you?"
"I'm sorry Harry; I didn't want to be rude." They took a stroll through the portrait hole and ventured into the rest of the castle. Everything seemed the same except for all of the people. There were people in cliques, people alone, people making out. People making out?
"Auntie Betty? Uncle Jack?" Ginny freaked.
"Ginny, they don't know it's you; keep it on the down low." Harry said, grabbing her arm as she struggled to get her parents apart.
"That's so disgusting. Do it in private, hey?" She finally yelled at them.
They broke apart and gave her a weird look. They then departed off down the corridor hand in hand.
"I'm scarred for life!" she said as she continued down in the opposite direction of her youth relatives. Harry just laughed and followed her in pursuit.
Harry led her to Dumbledore's office and said the same word he had tried earlier that morning. Thankfully, Dumbledore hadn't changed it since then. This time Harry wasn't fuming mad and he wasn't rushing up the stairs. This time he had Ginny, so he took the opportunity. He was already holding her hand but now he kissed her. They broke apart and said, "We're in private." He pulled her in and started to furiously snog her.
"Uh hem."
Harry looked around startled and saw that the door had opened to Dumbledore's office and he was sitting at his desk with an amused smile on his face.
"Good morning. How may I help you?"
Harry shook it off, cleared his throat and headed into the office.
"Yes, we were wondering what we're supposed to be doing while we're here."
"You are you get you're mother and father together."
"Yes, but besides that."
"You will attend all your regular classes and you will get credit for doing them here. I have already discussed the situation with myself."
Hearing him say that last sentence put a smile on Harry's face. It simply sounded weird.
"Also, Harry, you will have to have your last name changed. You can't be running around calling yourself Potter. So I'll give you time to think of it today. Since you are here out of your own will, you also need not attend your classes for the remainder of today. But I must ask you one thing. When you are having an intimate moment, make sure that you are alone." He then smiled after this and returned to his work.
Harry made an 'Oopsie!' look to Ginny and they exited the room.
The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Harry felt as though this day was meant to be his. As he walked out of the Entrance Hall, and ventured outside, he grabbed Ginny’s hand.
“So Miss. Weasley, what shall we do on our day off?” Harry asked in a proper gentleman kind of way.
“Well Mr. Potter, I…have no idea, what do you want to do?” she said, trying to sound like Harry, but failing and going back to her normal voice.
Harry looked at his watch and noticed that they were minutes away from lunch. He shook his wrist to get his watch back down to its original position, and looked out over the lake.
When the bell sounded, Harry looked at his love and said, “Well, here goes nothing.” He took a deep breath and headed for the castle.
He entered with Ginny at his side. He took another deep breath and forced himself over to the Gryffindor table. He noticed that Lily and James were separated.
“Well, let’s get them together. You talk to my mum; I’ll work on my dad.” Harry said, looking over towards them.
Ginny nodded in agreement. They headed their separate ways and were down to business. Ginny walked up to Lily and took a seat beside her.
“Hello, how are you?” Ginny asked with a great smile on her face. Lily had her face buried in Hogwarts: A History. It was held up with one hand while the other shovelled food into her mouth. She reminded Ginny greatly of Hermione.
She then looked up from her book. “Hello,” she said in monotone.
“So…” said Ginny uncomfortably, tapping her fingers on the table. She looked over at Harry, who in turn was looking back at her. She gave him an ‘Oh-boy’ look. Harry gave her an excited smile and pointed to his forehead. She tried to figure out what he was trying to get across.
“Aren’t you going to eat anything?”
Ginny snapped back and smiled. “Sure.” She then reached for the stew and poured it into the dish in front of her.
“So, what do you think of James?” Ginny said with a quirky smile.
“James Potter?” Lily said, putting down her book with a hysterical ‘what?!’ kind of look. “Are you serious?”
“What? I think he’s kinda cute,” Ginny replied in a girly voice.
“Aren’t you with that Harry guy?” Lily asked with great curiosity.
“Well…yeah, but honestly! I mean look at them, they’re pretty much twins, aren’t they?”
Lily and Ginny both swivelled their heads towards the boys. They were immersed in deep conversation with each other. They then both turned their heads to Lily and Ginny. James waved.
“See, he likes you. Why don’t you give him a chance?”
