Biography: Fiona Mary Wilson was born on July 10, 1958 in Cork, Ireland. Although Cork was not a strong theatre city, Fiona still loved to perform, whether it be singing, dancing, or playing the piano. She attended Cork University, where she received a degree in Philosophy. After receiving her degree, she realized that she wanted to perform. She attended RADA and trained for theatre. In 1982, she joined the National Theatre. Her presence on stage received much acclaim from critics in the UK and America. She joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1985. Her film debut was in "My Left Foot" as Dr. Eileen Cole. Fiona has recieved many awards for her stage performances as well as for her films.
