Trailer transcript
Thanks to Mary for the transcript!
Mary attended a screening for Scooby-Doo 2 and also viewed the all-new theatrical trailer for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. She said that it was "fabulous, fantastic, insanely cool, way better than the trailers for all the other movies combined, and way better than the first PoA trailer that came out in November."
Transcript: (Note: not everything is in chronological order)
It starts with Snape billowing into the classroom, walking down the aisles (it's not, from what I can tell, the same dungeon room from the first movie), and pulling down a projection screen. He then tells them to open their books to a page.
The trailer is mostly new stuff. Very little of the first trailer remains. There's a bit with the Knight Bus in it, where they stop inches from running down an old woman, and Harry is thrown into a window.
The shot of Hermione and Ron "holding hands", and then looking all disgusted at it. They aren't really holding hands, but I suppose it's close enough.
There's a shot of Malfoy where he says "filthy little mudblood", ha, and seconds later (though if I remember right, it's an entirely different scene), Hermione gets all angry, goes down the stairs muttering something, and punches him. I think it's a new scene, because I know Hermione is in that pink sweater, and it's all green outside, while when Malfoy says that, it's snowing. At least, I think it was snowing. Which, if it was, suggests a different part.
There's the shot of Buckbeak flying that you have the picture of, but there isn't any more of him than that. Dumbledore says something, but I don't remember what it was. His voice is more powerful than Richard Harris'.
We see a few shots of Trelawney.
Oh, and we see Lupin as a werewolf. It's probably not recognizable to anyone that hasn't read the books. Even I was sitting there saying "was that Lupin turning back from a werewolf?" It's really quick.
Also, the new picture of Harry's parents [mentioned in HPANA's transcript] is of them dancing together in the snow (I think it's snowing).
There's Harry fighting the boggart. There's a pic of him fighting somewhere, but you can't tell what he's fighting, and thats where it comes from (Picture 1 | Picture 2 | Picture 3).
Lupin on the train explaining to Hermione, Harry, and Ron what the dementors are. A bit more of the dementor on the train, who I think kinda has a bubble head (meaning, it blows up a bit like a bubble). Sounds sillier than it is, though.
A new shot of Aunt Marge trying to float away. Harry walking down a hallway with a book in near-darkness. The light from his wand is the only thing lit (but it's a lot of light, lol).
I think that's about all I can remember. There's the "Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban prison" bit, with the shot of him sitting in the prison, but I'm almost positive thats the only thing we've seen before.
OH! and the "Why would I go looking for someone who wants to kill me?" line that Harry says.
And then the end. It's Harry outside in the dark, wand raised, looking all angry. He YELLS (lol, and I mean yells it) "Expecto Patronum!" And then, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban comes up and you get way excited. Woo hoo!
Mary's note: What's odd though, is that I don't remember a lot of those scenes in the pictures. I KNOW the one of Harry with the steam coming outta his ears isn't in the trailer. The overall feel is pretty dark.
Also, most of that transcript is in the trailer. It doesn't end there though, and the cloudy words don't show up.
