Order of the Phoenix Casting Rumors:
Elizabeth Hurley - "evil witch"
 The Rumor: On February 4, 2005, CNBC News reported that Elizabeth Hurley had been asked to play an "evil witch" in the fifth Harry Potter film, Order of the Phoenix. HP fans presumed this to be a description of Bellatrix Lestrange. CNBC said that she had not yet mentioned the offer publicly because she is still pondering over it. However, WB debunked the rumor four days later, saying that there was "no truth whatsoever" in it.
 The Woman: At the age of twelve, Elizabeth Hurley knew she wanted to be a dancer. She won a scholarship to the London Studio Centre, where she studied dance and theatre. Her first on-screen role was in the 1987 film Aria, in which she played Marietta. She gained some national attention when she hooked up with Hugh Grant in 1987, whom she dated for 14 years. She has recently appeared as Vanessa Kensington in two Austin Powers flicks.
Current Status: Debunked.
